documentary

what I love about this documentary is the raw emotion. There is no censorship, you almost feel what the person being interviewed is feeling. You can fell the anger, frustration, fear, and a sense of hopelesness. The sad reality is that this is their real life, their everyday struggle....

I agree with you. What is also great is that the questions they are being asked or the comments they make, are things that some of us ask ourselves about people in gangs.

Life is rough for some people. There is no doubt about it. Unfortunately, many gang people end up in jails due to violent acts, or drugs...and here is where the problem continues, and get worse. I wish jails would give these individuals new opportunities of advancement within our society, such as educational training, and guaranteed jobs once they get out.

It's unfortunate that so many people get caught up within violent groups in downtrodden environments. The lack of economic opportunity ultimately forces some people to gang activity that will at some point land them in the system, whether it be county jail or other correctional facilities. It's here that many people are resigned to being a criminal and continue to learn deviant activity from others in the system. That hopelessness is part of a broken system.

I agree with everyone! I really enjoyed the video! I grew up North from Los Angeles and the atmosphere is very different than down South. I think because there is much diversity and opportunity to fall into peer pressure, it triggers some individuals to be attracted to deviant acts and instill fear in others by committing acts of violence. Overall, the video protrays the true reality that some families live on a daily basis.
